IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW

Please consult with a tax professional before acting on any information.

  • In order to claim the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit, the donation must be made by an individual, not an organization.
  • All donations must be cash donations (in-kind donations do not qualify for the tax credit, only cash).
  • Donations must be made to a Qualified Charitable Organization. These organizations must have been certified by the state of Arizona and will have a Qualified Charitable Organization code.

For an example:

If you owe $1,000 in taxes and make a gift of $400 to a qualifying charitable organization, your tax liability will be reduced to $600.

If those taxes have already been paid, the state of Arizona will issue a refund.

Claiming your AZ tax credit is that easy, and you can make an incredible impact with a gift through this program.

'Wild Horse Sanctuary' is a Qualified Charitable Organization. Our code is 22788.

The Rescued Horses

Zeke

Zeke was rescued from a chaotic BLM helicopter roundup, where he was terrified and completely wild. Through patience and trust, he’s transformed into a loyal and loving companion. From his uncertain beginnings, Zeke now enjoys a life full of care, and he’s become my steadfast buddy who loves being part of every adventure. His journey is a beautiful reminder of the resilience of these incredible animals.

Jake

Jake, like Zeke, was on the brink of slaughter when he was rescued from a BLM roundup. Wild and untamed, he had little reason to trust humans, but over time, he learned to trust me and formed a deep bond. Now, Jake is not only my loyal friend but also a gentle, kind-hearted horse who enjoys life to the fullest. His story is a testament to the power of love and patience in turning fear into friendship.

Victoria

Victoria was in rough shape when we saved her from the BLM roundup. Thin and weak, she needed extra care and attention. To our surprise, she was pregnant and soon gave birth to her beautiful foal, Lilly! With lots of high-protein food and plenty of TLC, Victoria bounced back and became a loving mother. Her journey from near death to thriving life is one of hope and resilience.

Lilly

Lilly is Victoria’s spirited foal, born after her mom was rescued. Full of curiosity and playful energy, Lilly has a quirky personality that keeps us all on our toes—especially when she discovered how to turn on the beer keg tap! Her cheeky side and zest for life make her an absolute joy, and watching her grow up in safety and love is truly heartwarming.

Blanca

Blanca came to us shy and timid, unsure of her new surroundings. But with time, training, and lots of gentle care, she blossomed into a confident, sweet-natured horse. Now fully trained, Blanca is a calm and affectionate companion who loves being around people and horses alike. Her transformation from a fearful rescue to a loving, gentle soul is truly inspiring.
